Sealed bid proposals must be received by 3:00 p.m. on February 1, 2018, with public opening and reading of bids occurring at 10:00 a.m. the same day at Lamphere Schools, 31201 Dorchester, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071. Bidding documents are available for examination beginning January 11, 2018 through Foresite Design, Inc., online platforms, and FTP access. Clarification requests must be submitted in writing no later than five business days prior to the bid due date. Bidders must submit a 5 percent bid bond (Bid Security, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check) with their proposal and agree not to withdraw bids for 60 days after submission. Accepted bidders must furnish Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price from a T-listed bonding company within 10 days of notification.
This is a non-prevailing wage project with all applicable state sales tax, use tax, materials, supplies, fees, permits, shipping costs, and insurance requirements included in the bid price. Bid proposals must be submitted in duplicate and include the Proposal Form with unit prices, Familial Disclosure Statement, Iran Economic Sanctions Act Affidavit, Material Compliance Form, Bid Security, Non-Collusive Affidavit, and Hold Harmless Agreement. No direct communication with the owner is permitted during the bidding period. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award each proposal separately based on factors including low bid and best advantage to the District. No specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, incumbent vendors, or budget ranges are indicated in the procurement documents. The evaluation will prioritize competitive pricing and overall value to the District in determining contract awards.
