About this opportunity
The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has initiated a single-source procurement process for Training and Duty Ammunition, specifically targeting CCI-Speer and Federal Cartridge Products brand ammunition for law enforcement purposes. The procurement is located in Leon County and is designed to support the Division of Law Enforcement's duty weapons, firearms training, and recertification needs. This procurement is not a traditional solicitation for bids or proposals, but rather a targeted effort to identify and validate a vendor's capability to supply the required ammunition. Prospective vendors must submit written information demonstrating their ability to provide the specified products by September 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM ET. The procurement requires vendors to comply with Chapter 287 of Florida Statutes and demonstrate integrity, reliability, and full capability to perform contract requirements. Vendors will be evaluated on their ability to meet the technical specifications and provide direct factory drop shipments within Florida.
The intended contract will be exclusively with Florida Bullet, Inc., who is the sole factory-authorized Law Enforcement Distributor in Florida for CCI-Speer and Federal Cartridge Products. The contract is anticipated to have a three-year term from the date of award, with an estimated total contract value of $530,000.00. There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types mentioned in the documentation. The procurement does not appear to have provisions for disadvantaged business enterprises or specific integration requirements with existing infrastructure. The sole source justification is predicated on Florida Bullet, Inc. being the only authorized distributor capable of providing direct factory drop shipments from The Kinetic Group's manufacturing facilities. The contract will require the selected vendor to provide ammunition that meets precise law enforcement standards for duty and training purposes.
