About this opportunity

San Bernardino County Department of Public Works is requesting bids on traffic devices and supplies for use throughout the county under ITB PWG-126-OPERA-6439, with bids due July 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM Pacific and a question deadline of July 9, 2026. A 5% local-vendor preference under County Policy 11-10 applies to vendors whose principal place of business is located within San Bernardino County boundaries; qualifying local vendors may match the lowest non-local bid if their price does not exceed it by more than 5%.

The scope includes 38 line items of traffic control and safety equipment — traffic cones, barricades, channelflex devices, crash cushions, pavement markers, guardrails, and related supplies — priced on a per-unit basis. This is a requirements contract; quantities are not predetermined and items will be ordered as needed throughout the contract term. Deliveries must occur within 14 to 21 days of purchase-order receipt, scheduled Monday through Thursday between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. All prices are F.O.B. destination, excluding California sales/use tax and Federal excise tax. Payment terms are Net 60 days after invoice acceptance.

The contract term is one year, with anticipated award in August 2026. Answers to submitted questions will be posted by July 16, 2026. All bidders must register in the County's electronic procurement system (ePro) and submit bids electronically or in sealed paper form, along with completed representations and certifications including debarment status, criminal and civil proceeding disclosures, cost and pricing data certifications, and Local Vendor Preference Self-Certification if applicable. Public agencies located in San Bernardino County may participate in any resulting award; agencies outside the County must cover their own freight charges.
