About this opportunity

The Town of Timnath is requesting proposals for routine and emergency maintenance of its streetlight system, with proposals due August 28, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The contract requires 24/7/365 availability and will be awarded on October 14, 2026.

Routine maintenance includes LED fixture replacement, photocell replacement, lamp replacement, wiring repairs, pole and fixture inspections, outage investigation, and repair of day-burning or flickering fixtures — completion required within five business days of notification. Emergency maintenance addresses immediate public safety hazards including pole knockdowns, exposed electrical conductors, hanging fixtures, severed wiring, and vehicle strikes, with contractor response required within two to four hours of notification.

Proposals are evaluated on technical approach and capability (30 points), experience on similar projects within the past five years (30 points), qualifications of the proposed team (30 points), and price (10 points), for a maximum of 100 points. If top-rated proposals are equal or virtually equal, the Town may conduct oral interviews with up to 10 additional points awarded based on performance. Contractor interviews are scheduled for the week of September 7–11, 2026.

Contractors must provide detailed unit-cost pricing for visor repair/replacement, pole replacement by size (12, 18, and 28 feet), bucket truck services, business-hours labor rates, new-installation labor rates, and after-hours/emergency labor rates. The Town is exempt from federal, state, and local sales taxes and requires no taxes be included in pricing. Proposals are limited to 20 pages and must be submitted via the Rocky Mountain e-Purchasing System (BidNet). The selected contractor must comply with OSHA and MUTCD standards, maintain qualified personnel and equipment, provide work-completion documentation within three business days, and offer a minimum one-year warranty on maintenance labor. Questions are due August 18, 2026, with final responses released August 21, 2026.
