About this opportunity
The Town of Greensboro, Vermont, through its Wastewater Advisory Committee, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for wastewater engineering services to address infrastructure needs in Greensboro Village. The procurement was posted on April 23, 2026, with a submission deadline of May 4, 2026. The selected engineering firm will provide comprehensive services including site evaluation, permitting-related review, financial analysis, and implementation planning to identify feasible wastewater solutions using an incremental and modular approach rather than a large-capacity system. The Town specifically seeks firms with expertise in understanding regional land, soil, and siting constraints; knowledge of public and private land acquisition or leasing strategies for septic systems; experience working with small villages addressing similar environmental and infrastructure challenges; and capability to develop innovative, modular, and phased wastewater solutions. Key qualifications include technical expertise in wastewater engineering combined with creative problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to supporting Greensboro's long-term wastewater management needs.
The RFQ does not specify set-aside designations, restrictions on organizational types, incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure requirements that would necessitate integration. No award value or budget range has been disclosed in the procurement documentation. Interested firms should direct inquiries and submissions to Davis Barnett, Chair of the Greensboro Wastewater Advisory Committee, with the May 4, 2026 deadline serving as the final cutoff for proposal submissions.
Opportunity text
The Greensboro Wastewater Advisory Committee (WAC) of Greensboro, Vermont invites qualified engineering firms to submit qualifications for wastewater engineering services focused on identifying feasible solutions for Greensboro Village. Following several years of work exploring a large-capacity system, the Town is now seeking a firm that can bring both technical expertise and creative problem-solving to a more incremental and modular approach. We are especially interested in firms that: • understand the land, soil, and siting constraints common in Greensboro and the Northeast Kingdom; • are familiar with public and private land acquisition or leasing strategies for proposed septic systems • have experience with small villages facing similar environmental and infrastructure challenges; and • are willing to explore innovative, modular, and phased wastewater solutions. The selected firm will support site evaluation, permitting-related review, financial analysis, and related implementation planning. We welcome responses from firms prepared to work thoughtfully, collaboratively, and creatively in support of Greensboro's long-term wastewater needs. Sincerely, Davis Barnett, Chair Greensboro Wastewater Advisory Committee / Town of Greensboro VT
