About this opportunity
Richmond County School System is requesting proposals for design, delivery, and installation of playground equipment and poured rubber safety surfacing at Tobacco Road Elementary School under RFP #26-217, with proposals due November 9, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the school site.
The scope encompasses two separate outdoor playgrounds — one for ages 2–5 and one for ages 5–12 — each with complete equipment, poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing, and full installation services. All playground equipment must be IPEMA certified and comply with CPSC Publication #325 and ASTM F-1487-11 safety standards. The awardee must employ a certified Playground Safety Inspector for installation and conduct on-site staff training before the playground is released for use. Proposals must include detailed product specifications, shop drawings at 1/4" scale in both hard copy and digital *.dwg format, and manufacturer warranties.
The successful vendor must complete delivery and installation within 90 days of award notification, with anticipated award on November 17, 2026. All work is coordinated through David Perry in the maintenance department. The Richmond County School System is exempt from state sales taxes; contract pricing should exclude applicable federal or state taxes.
Vendors must provide proof of a minimum $5 million product liability insurance policy and maintain general liability, workers' compensation, and other required insurance coverage. Proposals must include a signed Sex Offender Acknowledgement Form and E-Verify Affidavit. Site inspection before bid submission is strongly encouraged to assess site conditions and subsurface requirements. Proposals must acknowledge any issued addenda. No contract value is stated.
