Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners is requesting competitive sealed bids for waste tire disposal and periodic transportation services from three designated County facilities over a three-year period, with bids due October 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time via the County's Euna Procurement system. The estimated contract value is $1.635 million.

Services are required at the Northwest Transfer Station, the Southeast County Landfill, and the South County Transfer Station during normal operating hours (Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Time). The contract includes provisions for annual price escalation or de-escalation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) calculated from the base award date. The County will award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and reserves the right to terminate for convenience with written notice, paying only for authorized work completed prior to termination.

Contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage throughout the contract period, including Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 to $5,000,000 per occurrence), Automobile Liability ($300,000 to $1,000,000 combined single limit), Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability ($100,000 to $1,000,000 per accident), Professional Liability ($1,000,000 to $5,000,000 per claim), and Pollution Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit). All insurers must carry A.M. Best ratings of A- or better and be authorized to do business in Florida. Hillsborough County must be named as an Additional Insured with 30-day cancellation notice required. Renewal certificates of insurance are due ten days prior to expiration. Vendors must complete a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form, a Substitute W-9 Form, and a Direct Deposit Authorization Form as prerequisites for bid submission.
