About this opportunity
The University of New Mexico Hospital is requesting renewal of software licensing, subscription services, software assurance, maintenance, upgrades, professional services, technical support, and related proprietary products and services for its MIM Software clinical imaging environment, with proposals due October 1, 2026. This is a sole-source procurement.
The scope encompasses MIM applications, modules, and add-on functionality including MIM Encore, MIM Assistant, MIMneuro, Invia:4DM Premium, and SurePlan Liver Y90. The procurement is justified on the basis that MIM Software is proprietary medical device software available only from GE HealthCare LLC and its affiliates; compatibility requirements with UNMH's existing implemented MIM environment make replacement with another vendor's platform impractical due to significant clinical and operational disruption; and this purchase constitutes a renewal of existing services rather than acquisition of a new platform. UNMH has obtained written confirmation from MIM that it is the sole manufacturer of the software.
The total procurement amount is $95,000 for a one-year contract term effective August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with an option to renew subject to NMSA 1978, Section 13-1-150. The proposed vendor is GE HealthCare LLC, located at 3000 North Grandview Boulevard, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188. GE HealthCare acquired MIM Software Inc., with applicable business operations, assets, rights, and obligations transferring to GE Precision Healthcare LLC effective February 2, 2026. Andrew Seiger, Manager of Clinical Imaging Systems within IT-Radiology Informatics, is the requestor.
