The scope covers tree trimming, cutting, removal, right-of-way and brush clearing, stump grinding, debris loading/hauling/cleanup, debris disposal per cubic yard, emergency and after-hours service, and mobilization charges. All labor, standard equipment, fuel, tools, supervision, safety equipment, traffic control, cleanup, hauling, documentation, photographs, and GPS reporting must be included in service rates unless separately listed and authorized by the County. Bidders must demonstrate experience in tree trimming, clearing, and debris removal; sufficient personnel and equipment; ability to respond to routine, urgent, and emergency requests; lawful vegetative-debris disposal capability; ability to obtain and maintain required insurance; and provide three references from comparable work.
The initial contract term runs October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, with renewal options for up to four additional one-year terms subject to satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, appropriation of funds, and Commissioners Court approval. The successful vendor must maintain workers' compensation insurance at statutory amounts, commercial general liability of $1 million per occurrence, employer's liability of $500,000, and business automobile liability of $1 million combined single limit, with Leon County named as additional insured. No performance or payment bonds are anticipated for routine services unless required by law or grant conditions. Prevailing wage requirements are not anticipated unless specific funding sources or projects trigger such requirements. The County reserves the right to award by item, precinct, location, group, or total bid and to establish primary and secondary contractors. Written inquiries were due August 14, 2026; final responses were posted August 18. No site visit or bidder's conference is specified.
