About this opportunity
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is issuing a Request for Proposals for the design, construction, and management of a temporary VIP structure to support the FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The structure must measure 12.5 meters by 30 meters with 3.4-meter legs, featuring glass walls on the front and sides, hardwall interior inset, elevated flooring with two levels (4 feet and 3 feet heights), ADA-compliant ramps and stairwells, event carpeting, and full scrim wrap to accommodate 250 to 500 attendees. The project timeline includes load-in activities from May 26 through June 11, 2026, with primary structure completion by June 2; operational event period from June 11 through July 15, 2026; and load-out from July 16 through July 22. Contractors must submit comprehensive pricing covering all associated costs including lodging, equipment, heavy machinery, permitting coordination, fire and life safety provisions, and off-site truck storage, along with stamped engineering drawings and coordination with temporary power and HVAC vendors. Evaluation will be based on Technical Merit (70 percent weight) assessing event experience with large-scale structures, quality and safety compliance, design conformance, logistics and installation coordination, and project management reliability, and Cost (30 percent weight). The deadline for written questions is March 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time with answers posted March 25, and electronic proposals must be submitted by March 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM to EColeman@gwcc.com.
The Authority encourages participation from small, minority-owned, and female-owned businesses and provides reciprocal preference consideration to Georgia-resident proposers. No incumbent vendor has been identified for this new solicitation. Contractors must maintain insurance coverage including $1,000,000 bodily injury limits per person and $3,000,000 per accident for public liability, comply with Georgia workmen's compensation requirements, and participate in the E-Verify federal work authorization program. Selected contractors may be required to conduct site surveys between March and April at their own expense, and the Authority reserves the right to request oral presentations from finalists within two weeks of selection. Proposals remain open for acceptance for 120 days following the submission deadline, and the Authority reserves the right to make a single award to the highest-scoring proposer, make split awards, or reject all proposals. No specific budget range or award value has been listed in the procurement documents.
