About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for temporary pharmacy staffing services. The purpose of this procurement is to secure responsive bids from responsible vendors to provide relief coverage by way of temporary staffing services for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians at the FDC's pharmacies. The ITB outlines the vendor responsibilities, including staffing qualifications, reporting requirements, and performance measures with associated financial consequences. Pricing is to be submitted on an hourly rate basis for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians per service location. The contract term is up to three years, with the possibility of three additional one-year renewals. Key dates include a bid deadline and public bid opening on December 18, 2023. The FDC intends to award a single contract to the vendor submitting the responsive bid with the lowest grand total price.

The FDC does not have a preference for local vendors and will not award additional points for minority business enterprise partners. The current temporary pharmacy staffing includes four temporary pharmacy technicians and one temporary pharmacist. The FDC's budget for this contract will be based on the bids received. Vendors are required to submit all mandatory documentation, including the price sheet, vendor contact information, and drug-free workplace certification, to be considered a responsible bidder.
