The Town of Telluride, Colorado is requesting proposals for Phase 3, Part 1 construction at Telluride Town Park Oval and Warner Field under RFP, with sealed proposals due July 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. MST and contract award anticipated the week of August 3, 2026. An optional pre-bid site walk is scheduled for July 22, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. MST.

The scope encompasses site mobilization with full compliance to the Town's Construction Mitigation Plan, including site supervision and tree and wetland protection; site preparation with utility locates, excavation, backfill, compaction, grading, and revegetation; stormwater installation for sections D and E (excluding inlets E-1 and E-2); replacement of four street lights (three full fixture-and-footer replacements, one fixture swap); Warner Field outlets, wayfinding footer and sign installation, and fencing and safety netting work including demolition of existing fencing, tree trimming and removal as needed, new fence post installation, and resurfacing. Construction is scheduled to commence on or after September 23, 2026 with completion required by December 18, 2026. The work site is at approximately 8,750 feet above sea level, requiring high-elevation mountain construction capability. All contractors and subcontractors must obtain a Telluride Business License.

Proposals must include firm identification, subcontractor assignments, qualifications and references for similar work completed within the past five years, project approach, proposed schedule, not-to-exceed pricing with itemized breakdowns and hourly rates, proof of bonding capability, and professional liability insurance documentation. Selection is based on qualifications, fees, scheduling ability, submittal completeness, references, and compliance with Telluride Municipal Code Section 4-6-10 — low bid is not determinative. The selected contractor must secure Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the contract sum, Workers' Compensation insurance as required by Colorado State Law, Comprehensive General Liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, Automobile Liability coverage of $1 million per person and occurrence, and name the Town as additional insured.
