About this opportunity
The Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission is seeking sealed proposals for the Telfair County Recreation Complex Clearing and Grubbing project located in McRae-Helena, Georgia. This procurement involves comprehensive site preparation work for a future recreational complex, specifically focusing on clearing, grubbing, and grading approximately 15.7 acres to establish proper drainage infrastructure. The project's primary deliverables include complete land clearing, vegetation removal, and ground preparation to facilitate future recreational complex development. Potential bidders are required to submit proposals by 3:00 PM on June 18, 2025, to the Regional Commission's office in Eastman, Georgia. Key project milestones include a pre-bid site visit (strongly recommended), which can be scheduled by contacting Brian Walker, and a question submission deadline of 5:00 PM on June 4, 2025. All questions must be submitted in writing to the project manager, Rich Bennett, and an addendum addressing these questions will be electronically distributed by June 6, 2025. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked and addressed to Rich Bennett at the specified address.
While the Request for Proposals does not explicitly detail set-aside designations or specific restrictions on responding organizations, the procurement appears open to qualified contractors capable of executing complex site preparation work. The project documents do not indicate incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure requiring integration. No specific budget range or award value is explicitly stated in the available documentation, suggesting potential bidders should contact the project manager directly for comprehensive financial details. The procurement is primarily focused on Telfair County, though the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission is managing the solicitation process. Interested contractors should review the full plans and specifications, which are available for inspection at the Telfair County Commissioners' Office and the Georgia Procurement Registry. To obtain complete project documentation and discuss specific requirements, potential bidders are encouraged to contact Rich Bennett at rbennett@hogarc.org or via phone at 478-235-1444.
