About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking competitive sealed bids for a three-year contract to procure Tarpaulins and Dump Truck Covers. The contract will be effective upon award and can be renewed for up to three additional years. FDOT is requesting bids for specific tarp specifications, including 840 denier polyester core yarn or greater, thread count, temperature resistance, and weight. The tarp specifications also include details on the hems, spline/PE tubing, and grommets. The bids are due on June 27, 2024, by 9:00 AM EST, and FDOT will hold a public bid opening on the same day at 10:00 AM EST. Vendors must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketPlace system, and FDOT will apply a 5% preference for in-state vendors, if applicable. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and FDOT reserves the right to award to multiple vendors, by line item, group, or all-or-none.
The solicitation does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. It also does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it provide any information on existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The solicitation also does not include any listed award values or budget ranges, but it does state that the contract will be subject to annual appropriated funding, and FDOT may cancel the contract with 30 days' notice.
