About this opportunity

Collier County, Florida is soliciting informal bids through a Quick Quote process for the removal and replacement of two complete roofs and roof hatches at the Tamiami Well House facilities (TAM#1 located at 841 7th Street SW and TAM#3 located at 851 3rd Street SW). The scope of work includes replacement of all fascia boards, installation of new roof hatches designed to facilitate pump and motor removal for maintenance, protective covering of interior equipment and electrical cabinets during construction to prevent dust and debris contamination, painting of interior ceilings and exterior fascia using county-supplied colors, and complete disposal of all debris including old roofing materials and hatches. Contractors must submit shop drawings for the proposed hatch design after purchase order issuance but before ordering, provide paint samples for county approval prior to paint procurement, and serve as the single point of responsibility for all work quality and debris management. Contractors must possess appropriate Florida business tax receipts, professional licenses, proof of E-Verify enrollment, and Florida Department of State Certificate of Authority, along with required insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation per Florida Statutes Chapter 440, Employer's Liability at $1,000,000 single limit, Commercial General Liability at $1,000,000 per occurrence with $2,000,000 aggregate, and Automobile Liability at $500,000 per occurrence, with Collier County named as additional insured. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 6, 2026 at 9:00 am, questions must be submitted by May 7, 2026 at 7:00 am, and all bids must be submitted electronically through the county's procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/collier-county-fl by May 15, 2026 at 3:00 pm as a single lump sum for all personnel, equipment, and materials, with award to the responsive vendor submitting the lowest quote and a contract term of one year from purchase order issuance for final completion.

The solicitation does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to disadvantaged enterprises or minority-owned businesses. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. The county will procure and maintain Builders Risk Insurance on the project with premiums billed to the project rather than included in contractor proposals, and all goods are designated FOB destination with risk of loss transferring to the county upon delivery. No specific budget amount or award value is disclosed in the procurement documents; however, contractors should anticipate that pricing will be evaluated as a critical factor given the county's selection criteria favoring the lowest responsive bid. The county project manager Anthony Lupo (239-207-0248 or Anthony.Lupo@collier.gov) will provide site access assistance, material review, and inspection services during installation, and contractors must provide project manager contact information within five business days of purchase order issuance.
