About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has issued an Invitation to Bid/Request for Quote (ITB/RFQ) for Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services, designated as project T32-D2-Drainage Rehab-A3 Burke-178309. This procurement is specifically targeted at contractors prequalified through GDOT's routine maintenance prequalification process for drainage-related services. The solicitation is being conducted under Georgia state law (O.C.G.A 32-1-3 and 32-2-61), which authorizes the department to procure services ancillary to public road construction and maintenance. Only contractors who have been deemed qualified and awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) through prequalification process #48400-410-000034480 are eligible to participate. The current solicitation was posted on August 20, 2025, with bid responses due by September 4, 2025. GDOT reserves significant discretion in the procurement process, including the right to modify existing provisions, add new terms, reject any or all bids, and waive technicalities at its own determination.
The procurement appears to be exclusively available to pre-screened, qualified contractors who have already been vetted through GDOT's specific prequalification process. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the documentation. While the exact budget range is not explicitly stated, the contract is part of a master service agreement framework for drainage rehabilitation and maintenance services across Georgia's transportation infrastructure. The solicitation indicates that all respondents will be subject to the terms of the existing Master Service Agreement #48400-410-000034480, suggesting a structured, pre-negotiated contracting approach. GDOT's procurement methodology emphasizes contractor qualifications and maintains significant flexibility in contract administration. Interested contractors must carefully review the entire ITB/RFQ documentation and adhere strictly to the provided instructions to be considered for the drainage maintenance services contract.
