About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids for eight Sun X7711A-4 4GB DDR1 memory modules to upgrade two existing Sun V440 servers, with bids due June 23, 2008.
All components must be Sun-certified parts. The scope is memory expansion from 4GB to 16GB per server (two 2-CPU V440 configurations), with a 10% upgrade allowance included for compatibility and performance assurance. Delivery is directed to the State of Maine's Edison Drive location, with contact to David Johnson (207-557-0914) or Jeremy Cotnoir; the state will perform installation internally.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value, considering service and supply quality, specification conformity, delivery dates, and ultimate cost to the state. In cases of tie bids, in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine receive preference. Bidders must submit unit prices on prescribed forms or electronic mediums; sealed bids or electronic responses must reach the Division of Purchases office in Augusta prior to the deadline. All transportation charges, including freight and express costs, are prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Prices must exclude Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes. The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, increase or decrease quantities by up to 10%, and procure from alternative sources if the contractor defaults, charging any excess costs to the contractor.
