About this opportunity
The state of Nevada is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide statewide access to electronic library databases for all Nevada K-12 school libraries, academic libraries, public libraries, and for remote use by all Nevada residents. The resulting contract will be for an initial term of two years beginning January 1, 2020, with an option to renew for an additional two-year term. The requested services include online full-text and graphical databases with content and features such as reading and research materials for early learners, skills building and test preparation, encyclopedias and reference materials, and virtual reality/augmented reality content. Vendors must provide pricing models for statewide access as well as for individual groups such as academic, public, and K-12 libraries. The evaluation will assess mandatory requirements and demonstrated technical capabilities.
The contract opportunity is being advertised through the NevadaEPro system, and the State encourages vendors to register on the platform to receive future solicitation notifications. While the proposals submitted are currently confidential, the State intends to award the contract to multiple vendors, including TeachingBooks.net LLC, EBSCO Information Services, and World Book, Inc. The contract will not be effective until approved by the Nevada State Board of Examiners, and the State will maintain confidentiality of appropriately labeled proprietary information. Vendors with questions should contact Gail Burchett at 775-684-0172.
