About this opportunity

The State of Florida, Department of Management Services, is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Business Automobile Insurance. The solicitation is seeking to establish a one-year contract to provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including liability, personal injury protection, medical payments, collision, and other than collision coverage, for various state agencies and entities across Florida. The selected vendor will be responsible for policy administration, claims settlement, and other duties outlined in the Scope of Work. Interested vendors must submit pricing on the provided Attachment B Price Sheet, insurer quotations, and AM Best ratings by the bid due date of September 13, 2023. The anticipated contract start date is October 20, 2023. The average annual spend for the current policy over the past five years is $305,028, but this is for informational purposes only and does not represent a guaranteed minimum spend.

The ITB does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor is not provided, and there is no information on any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The ITB states that the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and vendors must certify compliance with various Florida Statutes related to public contracts, insurance licenses, and relevant experience in order to be considered responsive.
