About this opportunity
The State Department of Information Technology Services (ITS), through the Idaho Division of Purchasing, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for a comprehensive Video Management System (VMS) to provide surveillance throughout Idaho State Agencies. The procurement includes network video records, storage servers, cameras, network switches, and associated capabilities. The solicitation was posted on February 7, 2024, with proposals due by February 12, 2024, and covers the design, installation, and purchase of a surveillance infrastructure for state facilities. Key deliverables include fully integrated network surveillance equipment capable of providing comprehensive monitoring across multiple state agency locations. The procurement appears to be focused on modernizing and standardizing video surveillance technology for Idaho state government facilities, with an emphasis on creating a cohesive, technologically advanced monitoring system. Vendors must demonstrate technical capability to provide end-to-end solutions that meet the state's specific surveillance and security requirements.
While the solicitation documents do not explicitly outline specific set-aside provisions or vendor restrictions, they do include standard insurance requirements and contract terms that vendors must meet. The contract includes provisions for additional insureds, requiring vendors to name the State of Idaho, the agency, and its divisions as additional parties on insurance policies. The procurement does not indicate a specific budget range, though the comprehensive nature of the VMS suggests a significant investment in technology infrastructure. The solicitation follows standard Idaho procurement protocols, including detailed standard terms and conditions from May 2021. Interested vendors must carefully review all attached documentation, including solicitation instructions and insurance requirements, to ensure full compliance with the state's procurement guidelines. The contract appears to be open to qualified technology vendors with expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level video surveillance systems.
