About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is seeking a contractor for South Service Area Vacuum Truck Cleaning Services through a competitive bid process (Bid #C006772). The procurement targets comprehensive cleaning and maintenance services for the district's Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) and Solid Waste Transfer Station (SWTS) located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Specific services include tank cleaning, wet well cleaning, hydro excavation, line jetting cleanout, decontamination services, and environmental cleanup. The WRRF is a 20 million gallon per day facility operating 24 hours daily with complex treatment processes including screening, grit removal, biological nutrient removal, secondary clarification, filtration, and disinfection. The SWTS operates 18 hours per day and manages food waste collection and disposal across the property. A non-mandatory pre-bid/site visit meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST, located at 2151 South Service Lane, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. Potential bidders must register through the PlanetBids electronic platform to submit questions and bids, with the final bid submission deadline set for February 12, 2025.
The solicitation appears to be open to all qualified vendors, with potential preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses. Bidders must register on the PlanetBids platform to access full bid documentation and submit proposals. While specific budget ranges or award values were not explicitly detailed in the provided documents, the comprehensive nature of the services suggests a significant contract opportunity. The procurement is specific to Orange County, Florida, and will be managed by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District through Reedy Creek Energy Services. Contractors will need to demonstrate capabilities in industrial cleaning services, environmental compliance, and have appropriate equipment and expertise to handle complex waste management and water resource recovery facility maintenance. The electronic bidding platform ensures transparency and equal access for potential vendors, with no apparent restrictions limiting competition beyond standard qualifications for providing specialized cleaning and maintenance services for complex municipal infrastructure.
