About this opportunity

Camden County College is requesting sealed bids for snow removal and de-icing services across four locations — Blackwood campus, Camden campus, William G. Rohrer Center, and Regional Emergency Training Center — under ITB Bid No. FY27ITB-10, with bids due October 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. to Roosevelt Hall Room 135 in Blackwood. This procurement is subject to New Jersey prevailing wage requirements.

The scope includes clearing all roadways curb-to-curb and sidewalks edge-to-edge; staking drain inlets; clearing fire hydrants and emergency call boxes; and manually shoveling campus walkways and stairways upon request at an hourly rate. The College designee determines when services are needed and oversees execution. The awarded bidder must maintain 24/7 availability through a qualified representative reachable by phone and email and submit daily itemized work reports for all performed work.

Net unit prices must include all delivery costs prepaid to the specified locations and remain firm for a minimum of 60 days and fixed throughout the contract term. A bid bond of 10 percent of the base bid (not to exceed $20,000) and a consent of surety or letter of credit in the full amount of the bid are required at submission. Upon award, the successful bidder must provide a performance bond for 100 percent of the accepted bid. The College is exempt from sales and federal excise taxes.

The contract term is one year from the date of execution. The College Board of Trustees will make award within 60 days after bid opening, and the contract must be signed within 21 days of award. The College reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 20 percent at the unit price bid and may terminate the agreement for any reason upon 30 days' written notice. Bidders must comply with state contractor registration, debarment certification, and equal employment opportunity regulations.
