About this opportunity

The Florida Army National Guard's Department of Military Affairs is soliciting bids for invasive species management and conservation services at Snake Creek Weekend Training Site near Miramar, Florida under ITB DMA-ITB-360, with bids due September 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. — a revised deadline following zero submissions at the original September 9 opening. Only firms that attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit are eligible to bid: Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc.; ChemPro Services, Inc.; Crosscreek Environmental Inc.; DJK Ag Services, Inc.; EarthBalance Corporation; Environmental Quality Inc.; K&S Services of South Florida, Inc.; and Tigris.

The scope covers invasive species management and chipping across 250 acres of training-site property, including both north and south parcels bisected by the C-9 canal. Services include spot spraying invasive species within tree rows parallel to and inside fence lines twice yearly; maintaining vegetation-free zones within six feet of all fences; spraying invasive woody species and tall grasses in open areas; managing reed grass; and conducting quarterly inspections. The contractor must provide state-licensed personnel, state-approved chemicals (Glyphosate, Imazapyr, or Triclopyr), chipping equipment, transportation, and utilities. Deliverables include a kick-off meeting with minutes, project schedule, status reports with photographs and DoD 1532-1 forms following each spraying cycle, and quarterly inspection reports. The contract term is one year with a firm deliverables schedule to be established within ten days of the Notice to Proceed.
