About this opportunity

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) is conducting a single source procurement for annual security software licenses for campus Apple devices for fiscal year 2025-2026. The solicitation, identified as SS-26-026, seeks to acquire JAMF Pro software from JAMF Software, LLC, which is being positioned as the sole source provider due to its proprietary device management platform exclusively developed for Apple environments. The procurement will enable comprehensive device management capabilities, including device provisioning, app management, inventory collection, user empowerment through a dedicated app store, and enhanced device security. The solicitation is open from August 22, 2025, to September 15, 2025, providing a 15-business-day window for potential vendors to challenge the sole source determination. The primary contact for this procurement is Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, who can be reached at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org for any questions or concerns regarding the solicitation.

This procurement is specifically targeted at JAMF Software, LLC and does not appear to have specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational respondents. The estimated budget for this procurement is not-to-exceed $8,000.00, covering annual software licenses for the entire campus Apple device ecosystem. The procurement is geographically situated in St. Johns County, Florida, and is being conducted by a state educational institution. No incumbent vendors are mentioned beyond JAMF Software, LLC, which is being positioned as the exclusive provider of the required software. The solicitation emphasizes the unique intellectual property and proprietary nature of the JAMF Pro software, highlighting that JAMF is the sole developer capable of providing technical support, patches, updates, and new releases for the software and associated services.
