About this opportunity
The state of Georgia, specifically Georgia College & State University, is conducting an electronic Request for Quotes (e-RFQ) to establish a contract for Nursing School Simulation Center Oxygen (Compressed Air) and Vacuum Systems. This procurement is being executed under the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), with the primary objective of selecting one or more qualified suppliers to provide specialized medical simulation equipment. The e-RFQ seeks vendors capable of delivering comprehensive oxygen, compressed air, and vacuum system solutions specifically designed for a nursing school simulation environment. The procurement process will involve a comprehensive evaluation of supplier responses, with the intent of identifying the most suitable vendor(s) to meet the university's technical requirements. The solicitation was posted on February 20, 2025, with a response deadline of March 4, 2025, and will involve a public announcement of participating suppliers and evaluation results following the initial review process.
While specific details regarding set-aside designations or organizational restrictions are not explicitly provided in the documentation, the e-RFQ appears open to qualified suppliers who can meet the technical specifications for the simulation center systems. The procurement does not indicate any specific limitations on vendor type, suggesting a competitive bidding process accessible to various medical equipment suppliers and system integrators. No incumbent vendor information or specific budget range is disclosed in the available documentation. The evaluation will likely focus on technical capability, system compatibility, and potential cost-effectiveness of the proposed oxygen, compressed air, and vacuum systems. The final contract award will be subject to a public announcement and potential protest process, ensuring transparency in the vendor selection methodology.
