About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Finance and Administration Cabinet, on behalf of the Department of Juvenile Justice, is seeking bids for the procurement of two storage sheds for the McCracken DJJ Youth Facility in Jessamine County. The sheds must be 16x32 feet in size, with no windows, a 36-inch solid door with key lock capability, a 9x7 roll-up door, a ramp for the roll-up door, and walls constructed of metal. The sheds must be able to withstand 100 mph winds and have a one-year warranty. Bids are due by November 1, 2023, at 1:30 PM ET, and will be evaluated based on a best value approach, considering price (90 points), delivery/installation (10 points), and the required one-year warranty (pass/fail). The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering and installing the sheds at the DJJ - McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Paducah, Kentucky, with billing handled by the DJJ Fiscal Branch in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The Commonwealth of Kentucky provides preferences for Kentucky resident bidders and qualified bidders, which include nonprofit corporations that further the purposes of KRS Chapter 163 or qualified nonprofit agencies for individuals with severe disabilities. Bidders must be registered in the Commonwealth's eProcurement system and submit their bids electronically. The Commonwealth reserves the right to cancel the RFB if the bid responses exceed the available funding, and the contract has no initial or renewal periods specified, with the Commonwealth able to cancel the contract with 30 days' notice.
