Service Plaza Tire Monitoring System Maintenance

The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), an executive agency of the State of Florida, is seeking to enter into an agreement with Snider Tire, Inc., dba Snider Fleet Solutions, for the maintenance of the WheelRight Tyre Management Technology, Tyre Management System (TMS) at the Turkey Lake Service Plaza on Florida's Turnpike. The WheelRight TMS is a drive-through tire monitoring system that allows drivers to measure their tire pressure and tread depth without exiting their vehicle. The term of the contract is two (2) years, and the estimated dollar amount for this single source acquisition is $150,000.00. Snider Tire, Inc. is the sole U.S. distributor of the WheelRight Tyre Management Technology System and Services, and holds the patents on the drive-through TMS that FTE seeks to utilize. The free services offered to the public at the service plaza can reduce the number of tire-related incidents and save lives on Florida's Turnpike.

This is a single source procurement, as Snider Tire, Inc. is the sole provider of the WheelRight Tyre Management Technology System and Services, which includes the necessary patents and distribution rights. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor is Snider Tire, Inc., and the existing WheelRight TMS infrastructure at the Turkey Lake Service Plaza must be maintained and serviced. The contract has an estimated value of $150,000.00 over the two-year term.
