About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of plastic safety lock-out electrical seals (Purchase Order 2098549) posted on March 31, 2026, with a submission deadline of April 7, 2026. The specific deliverable consists of red plastic safety seals designed for electrical lock-out applications. While detailed specifications and quantities are accessible through the BONFIRE registration system and the in-browser BidTable, vendors must complete the "Prepare Your Submission" process to view complete project details, vendor response fields, and specification requirements. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Delivery timeliness is critical, as time and rate of deliveries are essential to the order, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules serving as grounds for rejection and default termination. Payment terms are established at Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org, payable 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later.
The procurement documentation does not specify designated set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted vendor classifications based on the available information. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the posting materials. All pricing must include applicable federal, state, and local taxes, though DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes and may deduct such amounts from vendor invoices. Vendors must comply with standard DART requirements including commercial warranty provisions certifying supplies are merchantable and suitable for intended use, equal opportunity compliance, and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and boycott restrictions. The specific award value or budget range for this procurement is not disclosed in the available documentation; however, interested bidders should review the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions PDF available in the Supporting Documentation section to understand all contractual obligations and submission requirements.
