About this opportunity
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD) sought a qualified supplier to abate scrap tire dumps at multiple sites across North-Metro and Central Georgia under RFQ 46200-DNR0000635, with bids originally due April 23, 2021. This solicitation was cancelled on April 20, 2021, due to no attendance at the mandatory offerors' conferences, and will be reposted with new bid forms and requirements.
Attendance at one of three mandatory offerors' conferences was a condition of bidder eligibility. The conferences were scheduled for April 19, 2021 at 4035 Gilbert Road, Atlanta; April 21, 2021 at James D. Harris Site, 379 Industrial Road, Barnesville; and April 23, 2021 at 2877 Peterson Place NW, Norcross, all beginning at 8:00 a.m. The issuing officer reserved the right to consider representatives arriving late as not in attendance, affecting award eligibility.
The scope required suppliers to quote a price per ton encompassing all costs associated with cleanup at each project site, including site preparation and removal of scrap tires, transportation, recycling of removed tires at a Georgia-approved or permitted processor, and restoration and stabilization of the site. Project sites spanned multiple counties including Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Lamar, Marion, and Muscogee. Award was to be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications.
Suppliers interested in pursuing the opportunity when reposted must respond to the revised solicitation. Procurement inquiries and system navigation assistance are available through the Georgia Procurement Registry Help Desk at procurementhelp@doas.ga.gov or 404-657-6000. Tequila Stevenson, Procurement Specialist, manages the solicitation at Tequila.Stevenson@dnr.ga.gov or 404-463-2498.
