Contractors currently in default with Caltrans may have their bids considered non-responsive. The project includes provisions for environmental stewardship, with specific requirements for working around environmentally sensitive areas. Successful bidders will need to provide proof of insurance and be prepared for potential site inspections and compliance verification. The contract emphasizes not just construction capabilities, but also a commitment to environmental protection and traffic management during the project's implementation.
