About this opportunity

The Randolph County Development Authority is seeking sealed bids for a comprehensive infrastructure improvement project located in Georgia, specifically focusing on sanitary sewer, water, and site improvements to serve an industrial park. The project encompasses multiple critical infrastructure elements, including approximately 985 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer, 37.9 vertical feet of standard manhole construction, and multiple water main installations totaling 793 linear feet of various PVC water main sizes. A key component of the project involves replacing the existing sanitary sewer lift station. Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 AM local time on May 6, 2025, at the Randolph County Development Authority's office located at 51 Court Street, Cuthbert, GA 39840. Bidding documents are available electronically from Still Waters Engineering in Leesburg, GA, for a non-refundable fee of $350, with additional paper copies available for $100. Prospective bidders must submit a single prime contract bid on a lump sum and unit price basis, with bid security required and no bid withdrawal permitted for 60 days after the bid closing.

The project is expected to be funded through a OneGeorgia Equity Fund grant and Randolph County Development Authority funding, with the construction contract subject to applicable requirements of the respective funding agencies. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, successful bidders must furnish performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, from sureties listed on the U.S. Treasury Department's Circular 570 and licensed in Georgia. No property acquisition for permanent easements or right-of-way is anticipated for this project. Although a specific budget range is not provided, the comprehensive nature of the infrastructure improvements suggests a significant capital investment. Bidders will need to demonstrate technical capability to handle complex municipal infrastructure installation, including specialized work such as sanitary sewer and water main construction, and lift station replacement. The project represents a strategic investment in industrial park development, potentially supporting economic growth in Randolph County.
