Sale of Peterbilt Trash Truck (Surplus)

The Town of Natick, Massachusetts is conducting a public surplus auction for a 2015 Peterbilt trash truck, which is being offered for sale through the publicsurplus.com online platform. The vehicle is a 32-yard Heil Powertrak model with a Cummins ISX12 350R engine, currently with 110,597 miles. The auction will commence on November 4, 2024 and conclude at 3:00 PM EST on December 2, 2024, with all bids to be submitted exclusively through the specified website. Potential bidders must comply with specific requirements, including submission of a non-collusion form and certification of compliance with Massachusetts tax and child support laws. The truck is being sold under "as is, where is" conditions, with no warranties provided by the municipality. Bidders should be prepared to submit full payment before vehicle pickup and understand they are responsible for all associated sales tax, transportation, and delivery expenses.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the auction documentation. The auction appears to be open to all potential bidders without specific organizational limitations. The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may conduct a negotiated sale if the highest bid does not meet their expectations. While no specific budget range is provided, the sale represents a surplus asset disposal rather than a procurement with a predetermined value. Interested parties should carefully review the complete auction details on publicsurplus.com and be prepared to meet all municipal requirements for bidding and potential purchase of the surplus vehicle.
