About this opportunity
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Safety Training Courses for its Division of Engineering employees. The anticipated term of the agreement is three (3) years. The training courses must be provided either at the contractor's facility within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA and within 25 miles of Sacramento, CA, online (virtually or self-paced), or at designated DWR physical locations. The safety training courses cover a wide range of topics, including Bloodborne Pathogens, Cal/OSHA, COVID-19, DOT Certification, Fall Protection, HAZWOPER, Hearing Conservation, Silica Awareness, Asbestos, and Lead-related training. Bidders must provide pricing for each course item, and failure to do so will result in the rejection of the entire bid. The bid also includes requirements for the Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program and the Small Business Preference Program.
Non-small business bidders can receive a 5% calculation preference for subcontracting at least 25% of their bid price to a certified small business. The state reserves the right to verify the tax delinquent status of bidders and to incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Special Provisions into the final contract if necessary. Bids must be received by December 4, 2024, and the anticipated start date of the agreement is January 2025. There is no guarantee of work under this contract, and the state has not provided any information about the award value or budget range for this procurement.
