About this opportunity

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive repair services for various door and gate types across its district through Invitation to Bid (ITB) #C006833 for Rollup Doors and Gates Repair. The procurement covers repair services for multiple door and gate styles, including motorized and manual rollup doors, rolling grille style doors, fire doors, sectional doors, hanger style doors, rolling style gates, and arm gates. Contractor qualifications include a minimum of three years of previous experience in similar services and the requirement to provide a reference list with at least two clients who have received comparable services. Contractors must hold a State of Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation Certified Building or General Contractor certification. The bid was posted on June 6, 2025, with proposals due by July 10, 2025, and will be submitted electronically through the PlanetBids platform. Notably, this is one of two separate solicitations for doors and gates, with a specific restriction that one contractor cannot be awarded both contracts.

The solicitation demonstrates preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses. While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed, the bid encourages diverse vendor participation. The bid documents are available for review without registration, but vendors must register on PlanetBids to submit questions and proposals. No specific budget range or award value is directly stated in the provided documentation. The district has strategically structured the procurement to ensure fair competition and transparency, with an emphasis on vendor qualifications and service capabilities. The procurement appears designed to establish a contract for comprehensive door and gate repair services across the district's facilities, with a focus on maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operational infrastructure. The district expressly prohibits using The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District and Reedy Creek Energy Services as references, which suggests a desire for independent verification of contractor capabilities.
