About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking a contractor for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #C006832 to provide comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection services for various door and gate systems districtwide. The solicitation covers multiple door and gate types, including motorized and manual rollup doors, rolling grille style doors, fire doors, sectional doors, hanger style doors, rolling style gates, and arm gates. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum of three years of previous experience in performing similar services and provide a reference list of at least two clients with comparable service capacities. The bid will be conducted electronically through the PlanetBids Vendor Portal, with a posting date of June 6, 2025, and a submission deadline of July 10, 2025. Notably, the district is issuing two separate solicitations for doors and gates, with a specific restriction that one contractor cannot be awarded both contracts. The procurement aims to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations of door and gate systems across district locations, with all site details and images available through an accompanying ArcGIS link.
The solicitation indicates preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses, though specific set-aside percentages are not detailed in the provided documentation. Potential bidders are encouraged to register on the district's bid platform at no cost, which provides access to bid opportunities and allows for electronic bid submission. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the districtwide maintenance contract suggests a substantial procurement opportunity. The district has implemented strict evaluation criteria, reserving the right to determine contractor qualifications based on submitted references, with an explicit instruction to exclude The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District and Reedy Creek Energy Services as reference sources. Registration on the PlanetBids platform is free and provides vendors with full access to bid details, question submission capabilities, and electronic bid submission functionality, ensuring a transparent and competitive procurement process.
