About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS), acting on behalf of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS), is seeking to procure one rollover simulator for educational purposes focused on seatbelt and child safety seat awareness. The specific procurement involves a late 2010's model Ford Focus (or similar) passenger car with four doors, mounted on a hydraulically-operated trailer designed to demonstrate the critical importance of proper safety restraint usage. The bid requires a comprehensive quote that includes all delivery, shipping, fuel surcharge, and insurance fees, with GOHS willing to retrieve the simulator if located within a 1,500-mile radius of their Atlanta headquarters. Potential suppliers must be registered with the Georgia Department of Revenue and the GA Secretary of State's Office, maintaining current tax payments and demonstrating responsible vendor status. The bid is posted on March 5, 2025, with responses due by March 17, 2025, and requires specific documentation uploads, liability insurance documentation, and potential immigration and security compliance for vendors outside the 1,500-mile radius. No performance bonds are required for this procurement.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly stated, vendors must meet specific administrative and compliance prerequisites to be considered for award. Suppliers will need to provide documentation of tax compliance, state registration, and appropriate liability insurance coverage. The procurement does not specify a precise budget range or award value, though the comprehensive nature of the requirements suggests a potentially significant investment in a specialized educational safety demonstration tool. Vendors are encouraged to provide early payment discount documentation as a separate upload, which may factor into bid evaluation. The rollover simulator will be utilized by GOHS for public safety education, located at their Atlanta office (2 MLK Jr Drive, Suite 370), with the goal of enhancing awareness about vehicle safety practices. The procurement appears designed to be open to qualified vendors who can meet the technical specifications and administrative requirements outlined in the request for quotation.
