About this opportunity
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is seeking proposals for roll-up signs through a competitive solicitation available to state agencies and the Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV) program. The procurement specifically targets 3M Diamond Grade RS24, 3M Diamond Grade RS60/64, Oralite Super Bright, Oralite Marathon, and OmniBrite WU-7000 roll-up signs, or state-approved equivalents, to be provided on an as-needed basis for the MnDOT Sign Shop. The solicitation requires detailed pricing for various sign configurations, including standard and custom legends, with options for different sizes and overlay configurations. Key procurement milestones include a question submission deadline of April 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM Central Time, with all questions to be addressed via addendum, and a final proposal submission deadline of April 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM Central Time. Vendors must submit responses through the SWIFT Supplier Portal and be registered as either a bidder or supplier to participate. Evaluation criteria are expected to include pricing, product specifications, and compliance with the detailed requirements outlined in the Request for Proposal documents.
The solicitation appears to be open to all qualified vendors without specific set-aside designations, though the documents suggest potential preferences for targeted group businesses, economically disadvantaged businesses, and veteran-owned businesses. The anticipated contract term spans from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2026, with an option to extend up to an additional 36 months. The estimated total dollar value for the contract is between $20,000 and $40,000 annually, though this represents a non-guaranteed projection. Vendors will be required to provide comprehensive pricing for sign configurations, with freight terms specified as FOB Destination, Prepaid and Allowed for MnDOT and FOB Destination, Prepaid and Added for CPV members. The contract anticipates awarding to one or more vendors capable of meeting the comprehensive technical specifications for roll-up signs, which include detailed requirements for sign sheeting, cross braces, corner pockets, anti-kiting straps, and printing specifications.
