About this opportunity

Henry County Schools is requesting competitive proposals for robotics design equipment for all students in grades 3–5 under RFP 2022-170000-0909, with proposals due October 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. EST (extended from the original October 8 deadline by Amendment 2).

The scope is robotics equipment suitable for STEM learning, coding instruction, problem-solving, and competition participation across all 29 elementary schools. Equipment must function in both classroom and club/competition settings. Offerors may optionally demonstrate their competition platform during the week of November 8–12 (3:30–5:30 p.m. EST, in-person or virtual, 20-minute maximum). Demo samples must arrive by October 15, 2021.

Evaluation prioritizes technical qualifications on an 80-point scale: offeror experience and references (20 points) and technical questionnaire response (60 points), followed by an optional demonstration scoring up to 20 points if conducted. Pricing is scored separately as one component, allocated up to 20 points. Award goes to the highest-scoring firm whose proposal enhances the district's robotics mandate, subject to public review per board policy.

The initial contract term runs through June 30, 2022, with four optional one-year renewals subject to board approval. Contract commencement is no later than November 15, 2021. All proposals must be submitted electronically through the Bonfire eSource platform. Offerors must provide evidence of general liability insurance ($1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate), workers' compensation coverage, and professional liability insurance ($5,000,000). Questions were due September 17, 2021. Learning Labs, Inc. was awarded the contract following board approval on January 10, 2022, with notice issued January 11, 2022.
