About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking two contractors for a Roadway Sign Maintenance Continuing Contract (Bid #C006927) to provide comprehensive sign installation, repair, and maintenance services throughout its jurisdiction in Orange County, Florida. The procurement is specifically designed to support the district's public infrastructure maintenance needs, with a focus on roads, bridges, and water control systems. Contractors will be responsible for responding to individual Task Work Authorizations issued by the district, submitting proposals using pre-determined rates for specific sign-related services. The initial contract term is three years, with a potential two-year renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance. The bid is being conducted through the PlanetBids electronic bidding platform, with the solicitation dated August 26, 2025, and bids are due by September 18, 2025. Interested vendors must register on the platform to access supporting documents and submit proposals, with the procurement emphasizing transparency and fair competition.
The procurement includes specific preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses, as outlined in the district's Procurement Policy. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the contract is structured to accommodate ongoing sign maintenance needs with flexibility for emergency response and minor repairs. The district has established a vendor portal called "BuyLocalNow" that provides additional features including vendor registration, contract management, and vendor certification processes. Potential bidders will need to meet the district's insurance requirements and demonstrate capability in sign maintenance and installation services. The procurement appears to be open to a wide range of qualified contractors, with an emphasis on local and small business participation. Electronic bid submission through PlanetBids is mandatory, ensuring a standardized and transparent selection process for the two anticipated contractor positions.
