About this opportunity

The Suwannee River Water Management District in Florida is requesting proposals for River Access Improvement Projects through a Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFP covers two separate project areas, each with its own scope of work and permits from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The contractor will be responsible for providing all construction materials, including erosion control and water quality measures, and must complete the work within the requirements of the issued permits. Both project locations are in remote areas, and the contractor will be responsible for planning accordingly. The RFP does not provide specific details on pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, or other salient financial information, but focuses on the technical requirements of the river access improvement projects and the permitting and planning responsibilities of the selected contractor. The RFP is due on January 25, 2023, and all necessary permits, maps, and associated materials are included as attachments.

The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor does it list any incumbent vendors or current contractors. The RFP also does not provide any information on possible award values or budget ranges. The contract opportunity is limited to the state of Florida, specifically Suwannee County, and does not require any existing infrastructure or technology integration.
