The project involves decommissioning and restoring approximately 870 linear feet of trail to its pre-disturbed natural state, with specific requirements including grading, slope stabilization, erosion control, and native grass seeding. Key deliverables include installation of fencing, a rock bench, and a crusher fines trail, along with comprehensive site restoration. Contractors must adhere to Broomfield Standards and Specifications, with work focusing on minimizing environmental disturbance and maintaining existing trail access. Evaluation criteria will focus on selecting the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, with a 120-calendar day contract period and an anticipated Notice to Proceed date of March 1, 2025. Bidders must provide a 5% bid security and demonstrate qualifications through various documentation, including a bid form, qualification of bidders form, and proof of insurance.

The solicitation encourages participation from disadvantaged business enterprises and requires contractors to hold a valid Class C contractor's license. Bidders must submit a Colorado Certificate of Good Standing and provide performance and labor/material payment bonds for projects over $50,000. The project has a liquidated damages rate of $500 per day for contract delays. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the comprehensive bid form includes 22 line items covering construction, demolition, earthwork, site furnishings, and landscape work, with specific quantities for tasks such as 1,121 linear feet of construction fence and 256 cubic yards of cut/fill earthwork. The contractor will be responsible for a two-year warranty period (one year for landscaping work) and must comply with Colorado labor requirements and implement Best Management Practices for stormwater control.
