About this opportunity
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is issuing a Request for Qualifications and Quotations (RFQQ) to solicit proposals for a project to grind existing apple and cherry trees along with subsurface mulching of roots and stumps across multiple parcels in Benton County, Washington. The project requires at least 5 years' experience with orchard/tree surface and subsurface mulching/grinding, the ability to meet the project schedule which runs from approximately November 13, 2024 to March 15, 2025 with a 60-day extension option, and submission of a management proposal, experience details, and pricing. Proposals will be evaluated based on the bidder's management proposal, experience, and pricing, with preferences given for small and veteran-owned businesses as well as those compliant with Executive Order 18-03 regarding worker's rights.
The project is funded with state dollars, and the Agency reserves the right to order additional products or services within the scope of the solicitation. There are no set-aside designations, but the Agency indicates a preference for small and veteran-owned businesses. The previous contractor had completed their work, and this project is for additional surface and subsurface mulching. No incumbent vendor or budget range is provided, though the chips from the mulching are to remain on-site and be returned to grade.
