About this opportunity
The City of Fort Worth is requesting quotes for first responder textbooks to supply the Fire Department on an as-needed basis under RFQt 26-0319, with quotes due September 17, 2026. This is subject to the City's Small Business Program under Ordinance No. 27832-08-2025, and Small Business Enterprise certification status will be evaluated.
The scope is limited to two specific titles: Essentials of Fire Fighting, 8th Edition (Firefighter 1 & 2, ISBN 978-0-87939-831-6, Item #37886) and Hazardous Materials for First Responders, 6th Edition (ISBN 978-0-87939-757-9, Item #36701). All books must be new, unused, and in original publisher condition from the publisher or authorized distributors; no substitutions or alternate editions are permitted without prior written City authorization. Delivery is to 505 W. Felix Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76115, with proper packaging to prevent damage.
The initial contract term is one year with up to four one-year renewal options available unless either party provides 90 days' notice of non-renewal. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose price is reasonable and in the City's best interest; the City reserves the right to make multiple awards or reject bids in whole or in part. Prices must remain firm throughout the contract term and include all freight and delivery costs. Vendors may request annual price adjustments during renewal periods with written proof of cost increases submitted at least 90 days before the requested effective date; the City reserves the right to adjust or reject increases entirely. Payment terms are Net 30 Days; successful bidders must register for direct deposit. Quotes remain firm for 90 calendar days after opening. Vendors must submit completed RFQt-01 forms, a completed bid table, applicable SBE certificates, W-9 forms, and Conflict of Interest Questionnaires. The City is exempt from Federal Excise and State Sales Tax.
