About this opportunity

The County of San Diego Purchasing and Contracting Department is requesting quotations for three 2026 or newer Polaris utility terrain vehicles — two RZR Pro R Ultimate two-seater models and one four-seater variant, or County-approved equivalents — for the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, with quotations due September 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Offerors must be authorized dealers of the vehicle manufacturer.

Qualified Small-Local Businesses may be eligible for NET 15 payment terms under Board Policy B-53; all other offerors receive NET 30 unless more favorable terms are offered. Delivery must occur before October 30, 2026, to the San Diego County Fleet Management Division during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) with 48-hour advance notice.

Pricing must include all shipping, delivery, DMV registration fees, documentation processing, tire fees, and additional costs (excluding sales tax), with separate line items for the two-seater vehicles, four-seater vehicle, tire fees, DMV electronic registration, documentation processing, extra keys, and any other fees. Offerors must specify lead time in calendar days from purchase order issuance to delivery and confirm whether vehicles are in physical stock for immediate delivery or subject to manufacturer order with estimated confirmation dates. Offerors must commit to providing newer model years or added-value vehicles at no additional cost if the proposed lead time is not met.

All vehicles must arrive fully fueled (90 percent or above), fully functional with no dashboard error messages, and include complete DMV documentation and Manufacturer Statements or Certificates of Origin. Vehicles must be registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles as exempt, with warranty coverage not commencing until the County assigns the vehicle for use.

Award will be determined within 90 days of submission based on offeror experience, technical approach, physical vehicle availability, acceptance of County terms, and price. The County reserves the right to award on each item, each lot, or the total of all items. Questions are due September 25, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
