The County reserves the right to award individually on each item, each lot, or the total of all items.

ADDENDUM NO. 1

2026 OR NEWER POLARIS RZR PRO R ULTIMATE (RFQ 13359)

This Addendum forms a part of the contract documents and changes the original documents only in the manner and to the extent stated.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Q1: A vendor requested clarification regarding whether the following vehicles may be accepted as County-approved equivalents to the specified Polaris RZR models:

2026 or newer Can-Am Maverick R X rs with Smart-Shox – 2 passenger, proposed as an equivalent to the Polaris RZR Pro R Ultimate.

2026 or newer Can-Am Maverick R MAX X rs with Smart-Shox – 4 passenger, proposed as an equivalent to the Polaris RZR Pro R 4 Ultimate.

The vendor states that the proposed Can-Am models offer comparable high-performance capabilities and utilize alternative technologies for certain specifications identified in the solicitation, including the engine, transmission, suspension, drivetrain, braking, and wheel/tire systems.

Will the County accept the above-referenced Can-Am models as County-approved equivalents to the specified Polaris RZR models?

A1: Good afternoon, we prefer to continue with a Polaris. Our fleet of ATVs are all from the same manufacture, this simplifies maintenance and repairs. The county technicians have become proficient in servicing a smaller range of vehicles, reducing repair times and associated labor costs. The need for specialized tools and parts is also diminished, resulting in less technical training and tool cost . Another benefit is training drivers on a single or limited number of vehicle models simplifies driver training programs, ensuring consistency in driving techniques and safety procedures.
