About this opportunity
Dade County Board of Commissioners in Georgia is soliciting qualifications from professional firms through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to provide comprehensive parks, recreation, and outdoor facility design services. The services encompass concept report preparation and validation, park planning, trail and recreation facility design, landscaping, site development, surveys and mapping, preliminary and final construction plans, erosion control plans, permit assistance, and related services, with additional design and construction support capabilities for park improvements including athletic court resurfacing, parking lot and trail resurfacing, sports and security lighting, and drainage improvements. Typical projects will involve development of construction scope, preparation of concept, preliminary, and final design documents, environmental documentation, coordination of utilities, preparation of specifications and bid documents, and contract administration, with work generally falling into five categories: Parks and Recreation Facilities, Trailheads and Access Facilities, Trails (Pedestrian or Multi-use), Recreational Site Development and Passive Recreation Areas, and Park Improvements and Rehabilitation. Responding firms must submit one original and four copies of their qualifications in a sealed envelope to Dade County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Gidget Knight, County Clerk, 71 Case Avenue, Suite 243, Trenton, GA 30752, with a deadline of 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026; the County will publicly announce submitting company names at 3:05 p.m. on the same day. Evaluation will be based on six criteria: Parks and Recreation Experience (20 percent), Federal/State Funded Project Experience (15 percent), Design Approach and Methodology (25 percent), Scope and Level of Services (20 percent), Capacity and Project Management (10 percent), and Approach to Cost Management and Budget Awareness (10 percent). Required submissions include firm qualifications, scope and methodology, proof of ability to complete projects, budget and fees information, rate schedules, financial documentation, proof of authorization to conduct business in Georgia, and current valid licenses required to perform proposed services.
The RFQ does not indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organization types eligible to respond, nor does it reference incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing technology infrastructure requiring integration. All data, materials, and documentation submitted become the exclusive property of Dade County and are subject to public inspection under the Georgia Open Records Act. The County reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, extend deadlines, or call for new qualifications. No specific award value or budget range is listed in the procurement documents.
