About this opportunity

Caledonia Community Schools in Michigan has issued a Request for Proposal for district-wide parking lot striping services covering 15 school facilities and ancillary locations, including elementary schools, middle schools, Caledonia High School (north and south lots), the community center, stadium, and administrative facilities. Sealed bids must be received by 1:00 PM EST on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the district administration office located at 8948 Kraft Avenue SE, Caledonia, Michigan 49316. Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit all sites or use Google Earth to assess the scope of work, though no pre-bid meeting will be held. Striping work may be completed anytime between June 6 and August 10, 2026, with contract award anticipated at the May 15, 2026 Board of Education meeting and awards to be made within 60 days of bid opening. Qualified contractors must submit typewritten bids with original signatures, three references, a Familial Disclosure Affidavit, and an Affidavit of Compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The successful contractor must obtain Commercial General Liability Insurance with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate, Workers' Compensation Insurance of $100,000 per accident with $500,000 annual aggregate, and Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence if vehicles will be used, with Caledonia Community Schools named as an additional insured on all policies. The contractor is responsible for all site cleanup, paint protection during drying time, and any repairs or damages to district property caused by equipment, personnel, or materials, with invoicing based solely on completed work performed. All questions should be directed to Matthew Hess, Executive Director of Operations and Transportation, at 616.891.0225 x3 or HessM@CalSchools.org.

The Request for Proposal does not specify set-aside designations, restrictions on organizational types that can respond, or disadvantaged enterprise provisions. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the procurement documents, and no existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements are noted. Bid security and bid bonds are not required for submission. The procurement documents do not provide an estimated award value or budget range for the parking lot striping services. No electronic or facsimile bids will be accepted, and late bids will not be opened.
