About this opportunity

The City of Dunwoody in Dekalb County, Georgia is seeking proposals for a Managed Networking Service Provider through RFP 23-11. The selected vendor will be responsible for the redesign and ongoing management of the City's internal network, which includes two separate "spoke and hub" Point-to-Point networks connecting the City to multiple satellite locations. The work will be completed in four phases: 1) Network Assessment, 2) Planning New Network Design, 3) Deployment and Cutover to New Network, and 4) Ongoing Management and Network Engineer Support. The City requires the selected vendor to have experience working with local government and/or public safety environments, as well as expertise in Fortinet and Cisco environments. Proposals are due by February 1, 2024, and the selected vendor will be expected to begin Phase 1 no later than March 1, 2024. The City has already purchased network equipment and will provide the list to the winning bidder. The City will evaluate proposals based on the criteria outlined in the RFP and reserves the right to negotiate final terms with the selected service provider.

The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The City does not indicate any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it specify any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration.
