About this opportunity
The City of Quincy Department of Public Buildings is soliciting proposals for the installation and removal of holiday lighting across multiple downtown locations, with proposals due October 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
The scope encompasses illumination of the McIntyre Mall, Hancock Adams Common, Thomas Crane Public Library lawn, Generals Park area, and street trees throughout the Downtown District. The City will provide existing light strings, sets, and color bulbs or LEDs from its inventory; however, new replacement strings or additional lighting may be required at the City's request. Vendors must be qualified to perform both installation and removal services.
The award will result in a fixed-price contract for services and an on-call contract for seasonal holiday lighting services. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with non-price and price proposals clearly separated and marked accordingly.
Inquiries must be submitted to Meredith Marini, Interim Purchasing Agent, at mmarini@quincyma.gov by October 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Detailed specifications are available on the City of Quincy website at www.quincyma.gov and at the Purchasing Department office at 1305 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169 during business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, withdraw the RFP, and accept proposals deemed in the City's best interest, including rejection of non-responsive or unbalanced bids.
