About this opportunity
Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority in Ohio is requesting proposals for fire and safety system inspection and repair services under RFP P26002, with proposals due August 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. EST and a pre-proposal conference on July 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
The solicitation is structured in three service lots: Lot #1 covers fire alarm, detection, and sprinkler systems requiring bi-yearly inspection and quarterly sprinkler maintenance; Lot #2 encompasses entrance door intercom systems requiring bi-yearly service; and Lot #3 involves complete testing, maintenance, and replacement of all battery backup systems on a bi-yearly basis. Equipment to be serviced is located at two primary sites and includes Firelite MS-9600UDLS and Honeywell Deltanet fire control panels, along with associated smoke sensors, manual stations, strobes, and related components. All work must comply with applicable fire codes, NFPA standards, State Fire Marshal requirements, and local codes. The contractor is responsible for notifications to fire departments and other agencies regarding inspections. A comprehensive 120-day equipment inventory report is required within 120 days of award.
The contract term is five years on a firm-fixed-fee basis, with pricing proposed for each annual year. Proposers may propose escalating prices across the five years but no additional escalation is permitted thereafter. Pricing must be submitted exclusively through the eProcurement Marketplace and must include all labor, materials, overhead, insurance, licensing, and related costs. Reimbursable expenses are limited to Agency pre-approved travel costs at the current IRS mileage rate.
The Agency will award on a "Best Value" basis: proposed costs (30 points), demonstrated understanding of requirements (10 points), quality of technical approach (10 points), technical capabilities and management plan (10 points), relevant experience and past performance (30 points), and overall proposal quality and organization (10 points). The current contractor is Continental Fire & Security Inc. Written questions are due August 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. EST.
